AAUB's 19th Academic Council Meeting held at Dhaka Campus
1. The 19th Academic Council Meeting of Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh (AAUB) was held on 05 March 2026 at the university's conference room, Dhaka campus. The meeting was presided over by the respected Vice Chancellor of AAUB, Air Vice Marshal M Mustafizur Rahman, BSP, GUP, nswc, afwc, psc, GD(P).

2. At the outset, the newly appointed Vice Chancellor mentioned that the aviation and aerospace sector is a rapidly developing and technology-driven future-oriented sector, which is playing an important role in the global economy and scientific progress. In this context, this university is placing special emphasis on formulating modern and up-to-date curriculum, implementing advanced education methods, expanding research activities and strengthening industry-academia collaboration. In addition, the university is working relentlessly with the goal of developing skilled and competitive professionals in this sector through practical training of students, international standard labs, and infrastructure development.
3. The Vice Chancellor then informed the audience that in recent times, the students of this university have brought glory to themselves and this university by participating in various international competitions (Light Aircraft Design, UAV Design, Can Satellite Design and AAUB’s research papers published in international journal ). He extended his warm greetings to the students, esteemed faculty and supervisors, and said that in the future, efforts will continue to provide necessary support for conducting related research, new innovation activities, and establish new labs. Vice Chancellor expressed his gratitude and thanks to the Bangladesh Air Force for the continuous support along this journey. Finally, the Chairman sought the cooperation of all members to make the 19th Academic Council meeting successful and accomplish AAUB's goals through active participation and constructive feedback. Later, the Chairman presented a summary of the various activities carried out by the university since the 18th Academic Council meeting held on 16 October 2025.
4. It is to be mentioned that members of University Grants Commission, Bangladesh Air Force, BUET, BATC, CAAB and BMU participated in the meeting, along with other members of the Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh.
