Assistant Professor

Shahana Afrin Dina serves as a Assistant Professor in Economics within the Department of Science & Humanities at Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh (AAUB),Bangladesh. In addition to her academic responsibilities, she fulfils the role of House Tutor of Female Hall-1 at AAUB.

Previously, Shahana Afrin Dina held a position as a Guest Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Barishal Government Women's College, Barishal. In 2019, she contributed to the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS), Agargaon, Dhaka, as a Research Assistant, where she was involved in various research projects and initiatives.

Shahana Afrin Dina has completed the “Leadership and Gender Equality Course,” offered by the British Council and Clore Social Leadership, UK, as part of the Platinum Jubilee Women in Leadership Project 2022. Additionally, she participated in and completed the Researcher Connect Bangladesh Programme 2024, a collaborative initiative organized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Bangladesh and the British Council, UK.

Shahana Afrin Dina co-authored the article "Experiencing the Impacts of Climate Change-Induced Salinity by Women in the Coastal Region of Bangladesh," published in the Journal of Climate Action, Research, and Policy (2023).
