Contribution to the Development of
Laboratory Facilities for Research:
(a) Laboratory Development:
In the creation of the nanomaterial synthesis lab, my primary contribution has been overseeing the design, setup, and integration of advanced facilities to ensure the lab is equipped with the latest technologies for cutting-edge research. I spearheaded the selection and installation of specialized equipment, including tools for precise synthesis, characterization, and analysis of nanomaterials. This has enabled the lab to support both fundamental and applied research in the field of nanotechnology.
Additionally, I worked closely with a team of researchers and technicians to establish operational protocols, safety guidelines, and workflows that promote efficient and safe experimentation. I ensured the integration of interdisciplinary approaches, which enhances collaboration between researchers and maximizes the potential for innovation within the lab. My efforts also included securing funding and resources, ensuring that the lab remains at the forefront of nanomaterial synthesis and research.
(b) Staff Development:
Trained teaching assistants and staff on various instrumental techniques used in physical, electrochemical, and analytical chemistry experiments. Provided training to laboratory attendants on the proper handling and storage of toxic chemicals and equipment. Trained technicians in electrochemical and spectrophotometric analysis techniques. Conducted periodic lectures for research students and lab staff on chemical safety.
