Career Highlights
Air Commodore Mohammad Saifuddin, GUP, ndc, psc was commissioned in Bangladesh Air Force with 28 GD(P) course in 1994. He is one of the most experienced transport pilots, having instructional experience in different types of aircraft (PT-6, AN-32, C-130 and Dornier 228NG). He has served in various staff and command appointments in BAF and BN. He served as Instructor Pilot in 11 Squadron and Flight Commander (Ops) in 3 Squadron BAF. He was the pioneer Commander of 314 Maritime Patrol Aircraft Squadron of Bangladesh Navy and kept vital role during raising of Naval Aviation. He also commanded School of Security & Intelligence, Recruits' Training School and BAF Station Shamshernagar. He also served as Deputy Director of Directorate of Air Training and Directorate of Flight Safety at Air Headquarters. Before assuming the duties of Treasurer, Aviation & Aerospace University, Bangladesh, he served as Director of Plans and Director of Flight Safety of BAF.
He is a graduate from Defence Services Command and Staff College, Mirpur. He also completed National Defence Course at National Defence College. He obtained his Master in Defence Studies (MDS) in Security Studies from National University, Bangladesh. Presently, he is pursuing PhD in Aviation Safety from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).
He participated in three United Nations Peacekeeping Missions, in 2007/2008 for UNMIS (in Sudan) and twice for MONUSCO (in DR Congo) in 2010/11 and 2015/16 respectively.

1. Received Chief of Air Staff's Commendation Certificates twice for his outstanding performance in Air Transport Operation and Aviation Safety.
2. Awarded with Force Commander’s Commendation in Sudan (UNMIS) for developing ‘Air Operation Planners Handbook’.
3. Received prestigious Peacetime medal GUP (গৌরবোজ্জ্বল উড্ডয়ন পদক) for his outstanding contribution in flying operation. Mentionable that he commanded two remarkable first Bangladeshi flights through Siberia and Alaska (in 2020) and through Greenland (in 2023).
4. Received eight Green Endorsement Certificates for safe conduct of approximately 5800 flying hours.
5. Received Flying Efficiency Badge for achieving flying excellence.
